A geomorphological analysis of Viking-photographs of the Mars surface has made it possible to compile a map of cryogenic formations on Mars. The map distinctly shows that different morphological features of the congelation are associated with specific latitude zones of the planet. This indicates that the factor of geographic zonality has determined the chief characteristics of the manifestation of congelation in the planetary relief. The present results provide evidence for the global spread of congelation on Mars.
