The present theory for the motion of the four giant planets includes perturbations up to the third order of the four masses, and perturbations up to the seventh order are obtained through harmonic analysis by means of an iterative process. The level of accuracy obtained is demonstrated through a comparison with an internal numerical integration over a 1000-year period. Attention is then given to the Theory of Outer Planets 1982 solution, which incorporates the perturbations of the giant planets due to the inferior planets, as well as relativistic perturbations expressed in isotropic and standard coordinates.
