Near four years of quasi-continuous measurements have been obtained with the seismic experiments VIRGO, MDI/SOI and GOLF aboard of the SoHO satellite. In particular, the GOLF instrument has measured frequencies of more than 100 acoustic modes of low-degree, extending from 1.4 mHz to 4.9 mHz. More recently, through an improved analysis technique, it has been possible to identify more acoustic-gravity waves with frequencies in the low end of the spectrum. Here I will highlight the implications of these results to the modelling of the Sun. In particular, I will also discuss the importance of the gravity modes for inversions and how they can change our knowledge of the solar structure. This new seismic data largely constrains the solar model down to around 0.1 R&sun;, while there remain differences, even closer to the centre. Moreover, I will also discuss the extreme sensitivity of the inversion results to the values of the frequencies.
