The time variations of the SiO (υ = 1, J = 2-1) maser line towards eight late type stars have been observed with the Onsala 20 m telescope. Long-term changes of the total width and centre velocity of the SiO lines can be seen in some of the sources. The best example is ο Ceti where the centre velocity has increased steadily from 45 to 50 km s-1 from 1978 to 1984. This may be an effect of ο Ceti being a binary stars.
