Integral transformation techniques and the FN method are used to solve, for the case of isotropic scattering, radiative transfer problems in spherical and cylindrical geometries. Numerical results accurate to five or six significant figures are given for selected cases basic to problems with internal heat generation and emitting and diffusely reflecting surfaces.
