The total energy of the gamma component of the Fianit superfamily recorded at the Pamir station is 3.2 x 10 to the 16th eV. It is noted that this superfamily is the most energetic event yet recorded by an X-ray emulsion chamber. It is characterized by the presence of a large number of groups (clusters) having a transverse momentum that is, on the average, 10 times greater than that of ordinary gamma-quanta.
