Quantum phenomena effects on the thermodynamic properties of matter in the early stages of the universe's development are determined by means of the extended Jaynes (1967) principle of maximum entropy, from which all results of the Gibbs formalism for the description of equilibrium thermodynamics follow. It is shown that the thermodynamic free energy of early universe matter becomes very great due to these quantum phenomena, and that both the entropy and the free energy of the universe become singular at the Big Bang.
