We model the steady-state chemistry of two of the dense portions in NGC 7023, one of the most famous photon-dominated regions, with an extensive gas-phase chemical network including sulphur-bearing molecules. Our results are in reasonable agreement with observation, and we calculate the abundances of many additional molecules not included in an earlier model, such as CS, which has been detected in the source. Our results for CS show a severe overproduction, unless a significant depletion of the gas-phase elemental sulphur abundance is assumed. Additional predictions of abundances for molecules not yet detected in these regions, especially sulphur-bearing species, are provided.
