The non-linear coupling between a low frequency ion acoustic turbulence and high frequency (whistler, ordinary and extraordinary modes) waves are studied in detail, using the two fluids approximation for the plasma. The results are discussed in connection with Type I solar radio bursts theory, in order to show that such coupling might explain the polarization of the bursts in the O-mode, as a consequence of the stabilization that the coupling produces on the competing instabilities.
