The problem of planets in double stars is discussed in this study from the celestial mechanics point of view. One type of planet is the P-type surrounding both primaries in a direct orbit, the other interesting one is the S-type, orbiting only one of the primaries in the double star. The P-types were examined in a detailed numerical study by Dvorak (1986); the direct S-types in binaries with equal masses are examined in this paper. The aim is to establish stability zones for S-types. The model chosen for this analysis is the elliptic restricted three-body problem, the primaries are assumed to have equal masses.
