The basic physics of black holes and gravitational collapse are reviewed, with treatment of possible black holes (BH) in binary systems, primordial BH, and analogies between BH-associated laws and thermodynamics in BH self-interactions and interactions of BH with their surroundings. The quantum efficiency of pair production in a BH gravitational field, the gravitational field of rotating BH, BH superradiance, and energy extraction from BH in fly-by of a body through a BH ergosphere are discussed. Anticollapse and white holes are mentioned. The cosmological effects of evaporation of small primeval BH are considered.
