Scientific paper

Anomalies have been found in the ratios of isotopes of oxygen, neon, and magnesium in carbonaceous chondrites. It has been suggested (Black, 1972; Cameron, 1973) that such anomalies are the result of the inclusion of specks of interstellar dust. The isotope composition of interstellar dust under different conditions is examined. Possible sources of the radiation indicated by the anomalous isotope compositions and by low-radiation traces detected in anomalous inclusions in carbonaceous chondrites are considered.
