Spectrophotometry of a faint filament near the position of the radio source W50 is presented. Emission lines that are characteristic of supernova remnants are seen with a radial velocity of about +100 km/s relative to the local standard of rest. The line-intensity measurements indicate that W50 is an old supernova remnant, perhaps having a nitrogen over-abundance.
