Bardeen (1973) has performed a detailed study of the properties of timelike and null geodesics, particularly of the stable circular orbits in the Kerr metric. He has determined the radius for marginally stable circular (r/ms/), marginally bound circular (r/mb/), and photon circular orbits (r/ph/) for both the direct and retrograde motion of the test particle in the extreme Kerr metric and in the Schwarzschild metric. The purpose of the present paper is to show that in addition to the stable circular orbits obtained by Bardeen there exists a stable circular orbit outside the ergosphere of the Kerr black hole, where the three direct orbits r = r/ms/, r = r/mb/, and r = r/ph/ coincide.
