In this paper the "Thin Tachocline Problem" is studied. We examine the influence of an assumed inverse Lambda-effect on the radial spreading of the differential rotation. This effect may contribute to horizontal angular momentum transport below the convection zone. Our results indicate that an inverse Lambda-effect can only reduce the thickness of the tachocline to the observed value if an unrealistically high amplitude is assumed.
