We request 3 nights at the CTIO 4m to complete a program of deep optical imaging begun at CTIO in 99A. These data are being used in conjunction with a deep near-IR survey to identify a sample of ~ 1,000 red galaxies at z > 1. This optical/IR survey is designed to quantify the evolution of stellar populations in massive galaxies, the luminosity function of red galaxies at z ~ 1, the evolution of the 3-D correlation function, the properties of extremely red objects, the nature of (mu)Jy radio sources, and the epoch of formation of massive ellipticals. Because of poor weather, none of the required z' imaging was obtained in 99A, and roughly half the V and R images were obtained in poor seeing (> 1.5''). The z' filter provides critical leverage on the 4000Å break as it passes between I and J at z > 1, and deep V and R images are required for precise photometric redshifts of old populations at high redshift. We request 3 nights at the CTIO 4m to complete the VRz' imaging lost to weather in 99A. This proposal is the last request for optical imaging of the Las Campanas Infrared Survey fields.
