Three-dimensional static models of the solar transition region and corona are constructed. First, potential magnetic fields are calculated for the three types of idealized source distribution at the supergranule boundary. Second, with a mechanical energy input only in the corona, the energy balance equation is integrated along the field lines, and surfaces of equal density and temperature are obtained. Third, the intensity of 36 optically thin UV-lines are calculated on the basis of these models. The initial values of the differential equations are fitted so that the network structure and the averaged intensities agree with observations. It was found that it is not possible to obtain realistic models in the static case in the 20,000-90,000 K range. Diagrams are presented for the network structure and intensity profiles of some strong UV-lines.
