High-dispersion coudé spectra were observed and measured for 43 field subgiants of the G and K spectral types, with the intent of searching for hitherto undiscovered spectroscopic binaries. Statistical analysis of the measurements revealed no definite but two possible new binaries. We present the data and discuss the statistical analysis used to test for new binaries. Additionally, we discuss the techniques for high precision of radial-velocity measurement, and the systematic errors that interfere with that goal.
