Observations by photoelectric photometry are presented for 38 OB stars in a 12 square degree area centered at 1 equal to 236 deg and b equal to +2 deg; 31 stars were measured in UBV beta, 9 in UBV only. The interstellar dust is found to be nonuniformly distributed between one and two kpc from the sun. In addition, most of the stars earlier than B3 and without emission features are situated between r equal to 2.5 and 4.2 kpc. The spiral arm structure in the third quadrant is discussed, and the idea of a Perseus arm extension is found to be more likely than the suggestion of an extension of the Local arm in the direction of 1 approximately equal to 240 deg.
