In order to provide the relevant absorption coefficients for the interpretation of the continuum absorption spectra in a number of white dwarfs with helium dominated atmospheres, the processes He2(+) (omega) yields He + He(+) and He + He(+) + h(omega) yields He + He(+) have been considered together. We present also the absorption coefficients for the conditions of DA white dwarf atmospheres calculated by taking into account together the processes H2(+) + h(omega) yields H + H(+) and H+H(+) + h(omega) yields H + H(+).
