Scientific paper

Linear hydromagnetic analysis shows the importance of viscous effects in
the case of a neutral current sheet. Analytical expressions for growth
rates are obtained. Estimates lead to the conclusion that neutral
current sheets (B0 J0 = 0) in the solar corona are
much less unstable than nonneutral ones.
