This tutorial is written for the astronomer who plans to analyze observations obtained by the Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer (FUSE). We assume that the user has retrieved the dataset of interest from the archive. We start with a brief description of the various files that constitute a dataset, and then proceed to the steps needed to get the data to a form suitable for scientific interpretation. The steps are presented in a series of worked examples.
