The link between the Chicxulub structure and the K/T impact is
strengthened here by a showing that a simple chemical relationship
exists between glassy tektitelike relics and an augite-bearing melt rock
found within the structure. It is argued that the composition of this
melt rock could not easily have been produced by volcanic processes.
