A strand of emission coincident with the peak in the radio emission at 2 and 6 cm was revealed by an HST planetary camera image of the southern radio lobe of 3C 33. The detailed morphological similarity between the optical and radio data conclusively confirms the common origin of the radio and optical emission. The question of whether or not the detailed correlations in emission seen in the jets can also be observed on the larger scales of radio lobes is addressed.
