We have petrologically inspected one meteorite specimen, recovered by the Swiss Meteorite Laboratory team (Museum Bally-Prior, CH-5012 Schoenenwerd) during the month of July 1991, in the Nullarbor Plain, Southern Australia (coordinates 30 degrees 11.32 S, 130 degrees 33.05 E), and labeled n. 91035. The stone, weighing 133 g, is part of the personal collection of Mr. M. Eltri (Via Lepanto 24, 30126 Lido di Venezia, Italy), member of the Meteoritical Society. The specimen is covered by a brown crust and the interior is weathered. Two polished thin sections, for microscopical investigation, revealed that the stone is an ordinary chondrite. Both delineated chondrules and deformed barred chondrules, whose contours blend into the surrounding microgranular and/or granular groundmass, are present. Fracturing and veining phenomena are evident and, together with other symptoms, indicate an extended, but not severe metamorphism. N.91035 S.A. found may be therefore classified in the petrologic type 5 transitional to type 6 of Van Schmus and Wood, (1967).
