The method of small parameters introduced by Poincare is used to obtain
the period solution of the problem of a rigid body in the Kovalevskaya
case with k (the Kovalevskaya constant of integration) as a small
parameter. The asymptotic solution is obtained in terms of elliptic
integrals for the (complete integrable) Kovalevskaya top.
