The paper presents results of new determinations of metal abundances and radial velocities of the outer-halo globular clusters Pal 3, Pal 4, and Pal 14, located at galactocentric distances between 60 and 100 kpc. Observations are also presented of two giants in Pal 11, a cluster which resembles the other three in structure, but is located closer to the sun. Metallicity data were obtained using spectroscopy at the Ca II triplet, a technique which is a very sensitive metal abundance indicator and is reddening-independent. In addition, is very efficient in terms of telescope time.
