Stimulated by the work of White & Long (1991), we find that the evolution and structure of supernova remnants (SNRs) in the adiabatic phase expanding in an inhomogeneous stellar wind of the progenitor can be described by a similarity solution. The evaporation of the dense lumps of the progenitor's ejecta is considered. The internal shock velocity and temperature for a SNR with evaporation are identical to the Sedov solution which applies for a SNR expanding into a stellar wind (p ∝ r-2). With an appropriate choice of parameters, the X-ray morphology of a SNR with evaporation is center brightened.
