Atomic Data, Stars: Individual: {Chi} Lupi

Spurred on by the fairly recent discovery of Ge II in an astrophysical object (χ Lupi) we have calculated oscillator strengths for excitations from the 4s^2^4p (^2^P_1/2_) ground state. An analytic atomic independent-particle-model approach is used in these calculations. Good agreement with experimental and theoretical data are obtained.
