In this paper several international launched (GPS/MET, Orsted, Sunsat, SAC-C, CHAMP) and developing (COSMIC, ACE) low earth orbit (LEO) satellite program are reviewed. By summary, next generation GPS occultation receiver should be palm-sized, low quality (a few hundred grams), and low consuming, and it can provide real-time satellite physical parameter, onboard spacecraft computation and control, data communication and command interpretation, all tracking data can reach centimeter-level precise orbit determination; it can support the acquisition of all occultation and ocean reflection.
