The wavelet transform analysis is used to explore the possible relationships between earth rotation and ENSO phenomena at various scales. The amplitude of the tropical HF oscillation exhibits long temporal seasonal variation with a higher concentration during Northern Hemisphere winters. The results obtained by this method show significant LF oscillation patterns in both series length of day (LOD) and Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) corresponding to ENSO epochs. The LF oscillations are associated with HF oscillations particularly concentrated in the range 55-60 day of period in the case of the SOI. For LOD, HF variations are predominant during the northern winters but not particularly present during ENSO events.
