The results of a survey of CH emission in a sample of molecular outflows are presented. Three hyperfine ground state transitions of CH at 3.3 GHz were detected in the sample. Emission in all three transitions was detected from the quiescent ambient cloud in each of the 13 objects in the sample, and high-velocity emission was detected in at least the main line in eight of the sources. Possible mechanissm and scenarios for the CH production in the outflows are examined.
