A theoretical study of Fe XVIII X-ray spectrum is presented and a comparison of the corresponding atomic parameters with other calculations is done. Results are used to construct different theoretical spectra which are compared to a solar active-region spectrum in the 13-19 A range. From this analysis, new Fe XVIII line identifications are proposed.
