The diffusion-convection (D-C) function is an elementary composite function of the solution of the D-C equation for particles injected impulsively from a diffusive point source into a uniform, unbounded and spherically symmetrical medium. Attention is presently given to fundamental properties and several numerical results of the diffusion equation for the case of an impulsive, cosmic ray point source in a uniform, unbounded and spherically symmetrical moving medium.
