The way in which such bodies as the icy nuclei of comets form in interstellar gas clouds is investigated. It is pointed out that the Jean's mass in interstellar clouds is exceedingly large and cannot be applied to the formation of minor bodies. The process of dust grain sedimentation that was discussed by Flannery and Krook (1978) is seen as meriting consideration. It is shown that if a globule is at 40 K, its lifetime is sufficiently long to permit the sedimentation.
