The Faraday rotation measure has been obtained for the first time for several extragalactic radio sources in a restricted celestial angular zone encompassing the Perseus spiral arm. In this celestial zone, the rotation measure has been improved or confirmed for 23 sources in the catalogue of Simard-Normandin et al. (1981), and it has been obtained for the first time for 22 sources not in that catalogue. This program complements previous all-sky surveys, which yielded a rotation measure for the stronger sources, by searching for a localized contribution to this rotation measure from specific zones of the Galaxy.
