Scientific paper

VLBI observations at 6 cm are presented for the nuclear radio sources
associated with two normal galaxies: the S0 NGC 2911 and the
elliptical NGC 4278. The former is unresolved at our resolution. The
latter shows a core dominated extended structure roughly elongated in
the direction of the rotation axis of the outer neutral hydrogen disk.
