We present a theory on the mass of empty space. Space is assumed to be the most entropic form of matter possible, essentially defining space as the building block of both light and particles. Initial mathematical extrapolations of this theory to the Casimir effect are presented. Based on our assumption and already observed physical phenomena, an experiment is presented on the verification or rejection of the theory. We perform the Michelson-Morley experiment, but look for the shifting interference pattern in a low Earth retrograde orbit, where the propagation of light through space should be observed against the backdrop of frame dragging.
