Many multiscale methods have been developed during the last fifteen years, such the bi-orthogonal wavelet transform, the à trous algorithm, the ridgelet transform or the curvelet transform. Each of them is optimal to detect one kind of features. We present the Combined Transforms Method which allows us to combine several transformations in order to benefit of the advantages of each of them.
