Scientific paper

The heliographic longitudinal distribution of the daily soft X-ray flare index values (FI) is given for 1985 and 1986 years (Table 1). The FI was determined from the daily continuous SMS-GOES profile of solar soft X-ray flux (0.1-0.8 nm), as published in Solar Geophysical Data. The left (right) columns of Table 1 comprise the 1985 (1986) daily data. The Eastern (-E), Central (-C) and Western (-W) LDE-type FIs, as well as, a daily flare index computed from the impulsive-type (I) flares were so far published for the decreasing part of the 20-th solar cycle, as well as for the 21-st solar cycle.
