Spiral Galaxies: Surface Brightness, Spiral Galaxies: Radio Luminosities

Scientific paper

It is shown that the radio luminosity of spiral galaxies correlates with
their optical surface brightness. Galaxies with high surface brightness
have stronger radio emission, on the average. Their ratio of radio and
optical luminosities is also higher than for galaxies with lower surface
brightness.
