We determine the dynamics of the stellar cluster around the Galactic center, Sgr A*. The data that we fit include the surface density distribution of the stars, along with discrete measurements of their radial velocities and proper motions. Our method nonparametrically finds the stellar distribution function in the combined spherical potential of the central black hole and the stellar cluster (which is assumed to have a 1/r2 density profile). By including the uncertainties in the radially-varying stellar orbit anisotropy, this provides rigorous constraints on the mass of the black hole. Furthermore, the statistical parallax allows us to directly determine the distance to Sgr A*.
