Photometric (UBVR) and spectral observations of Supernova 1987A in the LMC obtained at the Bolivian-Soviet observatory near Tarija, Bolivia during April-August, 1987 are presented. A spectrophotopolarimeter mounted at the Cassegrain (F = 7.5 m) focus of the Zeiss 60-cm reflector was used. It was found that, for Supernova 1987A, the UV part of the spectrum was weakened during March 7-July 9, 1987. There was a simultaneous increase in brightness, and hydrogen emission lines characteristic of type II supernovae were present.
