The LIGO I experiment consists of three km-scale interferometers at two separate sites designed to detect propagating gravitational waves, with frequencies 100 to 1000 Hz, from astrophysical sources. During the past few years, the experiment has been operated at different time periods to gather scientific data with increasing sensitivity. As the interferometers' sensitivities have improved, techniques have been developed to analyze LIGO data to search for gravitational-wave signals from various astrophysical sources. The status of the LIGO experiment and recent results from analyses of LIGO science run data will be presented.
