The authors study the behaviour of the power spectrum (PS) for the case of fractal structures. They show that the main observational features of the PS, the large scale flattening and the scaling of the amplitude with sample depth, are related to finite size effects, due to the fractal distribution of the points. Comparing this finding with recent results for the PS of the CfA2 survey, they conclude that this catalog is consistent with the fractal description.
