With its mCrab sensitivity above 20 keV and large field of view the IBIS instrument on board INTEGRAL detected a number of new persistent or transcient hard X-ray sources observing the galactic plane.
Several highly absorbed (NH>1023}cm{-2) sources have been detected. Those sources are clustered in the Norma arm tangent region of the Galaxy and most probably form a new population of high mass X-ray binaries.
The INTEGRAL results will be reviewed in light of the X-ray and optical infrared follow-up observations.
