I present first results on estimating the power spectrum P(k) of density fluctuations on very large scales - larger than several tens of comoving Mpc - using an extensive catalog of heavy-element QSO absorption-line systems. The size and extent of the absorber catalog - with over 2200 absorbers listed over 500 QSOs - permits exploration of the power spectrum over a large range in scale (from about 1 to over 100 Mpc) and redshift (z from about 1 to 4). I also discuss statistical issues in estimating P(k) from such a sample.
