The authors have detected broad, weak emission in the 110 - 101 transition of the hydrocarbon ring molecule C3H2 in the nuclear region of the radio galaxy Centaurus A. These data and observations of an absorption profile seen against the nucleus of Centaurus A, are together consistent with the presence of C3H2 uniformly distributed in a rigid rotating nuclear disk, about 4 kpc in radius. If the excitation temperature is 10K, then the abundance relative to H2 in the nuclear disk is in the range 10-9 to 10-8.
