Deep CCD photometry of five fields in the disk of M31 provide comparisons for different positions and environments. Only marginally different recent star-formation histories are indicated by the maximum brightness levels and luminosity functions of the main sequences. Mean reddenings range from 0.13 to 0.38. The reddening varies with distance from the nucleus, following the relation previously found for H I density and for reddenings in H II regions, with a maximum at ≡10 kpc from the center.
