Using new observational data, it is shown that the binary assumption for HD 94033 is believable. A brief discussion on the question of the mass of SX Phe follows. It is suggested that the mass of this type of variable star is in the range from about 0.6 to 0.9 solar masses, and the mass of AI Vel type stars with normal metal content is between 1.5 and 2.0 solar masses.
